Schedule Subject to Change
All Fest Activities, unless otherwise noted, take place at Montgomery Park, located just west of the Fox River at 301 N. River St. The Car Show (Saturday) is located in Austin Park, just east of the river, at 1345 S. Broadway.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I bring a chair or blanket?
Guests are encouraged to bring bag chairs or blankets. In addition, the fest will provide picnic tables scattered throughout the park and along the river for guest use.
Is the event pet-friendly?
Dogs are allowed in the park, but we kindly ask pet owners to consider leaving them at home due to the event's nature. The high foot traffic, louder music, and firework show on Sunday evening do not always make for the most pleasant experience for our four-legged friends.
Can I bring a cooler or outside food/beverage?
Guests are welcome to bring water bottles, but coolers and outside food and beverages are discouraged. Exceptions apply to infants, toddlers, and those with special food needs requiring accommodations. No outside alcohol may be brought into the park.
Where is the best place to park?
The Lyon, LLC. is gracious enough to offer its parking lot for public use for the three days of the fest. The lot is off Madison Street between Main and Peart Streets, one block north of the fest.
Additionally, street parking is ample in the downtown area, and several small lots available to the public during the fest are located near Village Hall and the River St. area. During high volume times (evenings), taking the shuttle buses from either location (Blain's Farm & Fleet or Lakewood Creek Elementary School) is strongly encouraged as parking becomes limited during busy times.
Is there a family area or a changing/nursing area onsite?
Yes. Thank you to our Family Hospitality Tent sponsor, New Life Church of Montgomery; a privacy tent is available for nursing mothers, diaper changing, or other family needs just north of the Food Vendor area on River Street.
ATMs Located On-Site
ATMs located onsite are near the fest entrance, food vendor, and carnival areas. This year's ATM Sponsor is Earthmover Credit Union.
Rules and Restrictions
Fox Valley Park District's Montgomery and Austin Park are smoke-free parks. In addition, a designated smoking area is available on River St. and Mill St. on the northwest corner.
Pets onsite in or around the fest must remain leashed at all times. Due to the size and nature of the event, we strongly encourage pet owners to consider leaving pets at home in a comfortable environment.
Fest Partners
The Montgomery Foundation hosts the Beer Tent for those 21 years old. This year, the beer tent will be in the food vendor row. All proceeds from the beer booth benefit the Montgomery Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that supports education and community service programs.
The Montgomery and Countryside Fire Protection District provides first aid, on-site EMS support, and safety training at their booth on all three fest days. They are key to ensuring safety at our fest. Thank you to Chief Tom Meyers and the men and women of the MCFPD for all they do for our community 365 days a year, 24/7. Be sure to stop by and thank them during the fest or see all of their engines in Sunday's parade.
2023 Sponsor Opportunities
- Be a Village Partner
- Connect with the Community
- Engage Brand Awareness
For 20 years (2001-2021), Denny Lee served the Village as an elected official and even longer as a volunteer within the community. Denny spearheaded the planning and execution of Montgomery Fest for 25 years, was a little league baseball coach to hundreds, mentored many community leaders, and continues to live in the town where he dedicated so much of his time.
Behind every great leader is a great advocate of their efforts. His wife, Jeanette Lee, will ride alongside Denny in the parade. She is also a long-time volunteer and supporter of the Village and was a founding member and continues to serve on the Historic Preservation Commission.
