2019 Employee of the Year: Officer Tony Hull
Officer Hull is a reliable officer who is well liked and respected by his co-workers and peers. He is an exemplary team player is always willing to assist other officers as needed or requested. He is mindful of how he represents the agency and can be counted on to be professional in all his contacts. Within the past year he has completed an 80-hour evidence course through Northwestern University and became a member of the Kendall County Major Crimes Task Force Evidence Team.
Above and beyond the duties of Patrol Officer, Officer Hull has demonstrated a commitment to uphold the mission and values of the Montgomery Police Department by striving to build solid community partnerships. Officer Hull participated in the Polar Plunge and Cops on Top and dedicated some of his off-duty time to complete tasks that enhanced the image of the Montgomery Police Department. In August he used his own resources and time to construct a wooden “jail cell” that was later used as part of the parade for Montgomery Fest. He also spent several of his off-duty hours preparing for his well received evidence presentation for our first ever Citizen’s Police Academy. His presentation was described as one of the best by the students in the class.
Officer Hull also received Employee of the Quarter in 2019 for his supplemental work in June of 2019 in reference to a domestic related call that resulted in several charges being secured due to his compassion, thoroughness, and professionalism.
Officer Hull also assists this department working as an evidence technician and car seat installer. With the mission, values, and core strategies of the Montgomery Police Department in mind, Officer Hull has been a positive asset to the agency and his dedication to the community will foster and build community partnerships that will last for years to come.
