Streets Division

The streets division concentrates on maintaining and repairing infrastructure improvements such as roadways, sidewalks, curbs, and water mains. Typical duties include street and sidewalk repairs (including street sign replacement, pothole repairs, public rights-of-way, and street striping), hydrant flushing, grounds maintenance, snow and ice removal, brush and leaf pick-up, storm sewer and sanitary main repairs, and mosquito abatement.

Additionally, the Streets Division assists in managing the Village refuse to contract with LRS Recycling for waste removal and recycling services.

Julie 811 Call Before You Dig

JULIE is a free service that assists the public with the location of underground lines and utilities. Protect yourself and your family, call 8-1-1, or use e-request to enter your locate request; you take the first step in the safe digging process. JULIE, Inc. will notify its member utility companies, who will send a locator to mark their underground facilities using paint or flags. Once labeled, you will know the approximate location of your utility lines and can dig safely.
