[ARCHIVED] Village President Seeks Applicants to Fill Board Vacancy

Village Board 2023-2025

On Monday, November 27, the Village President congratulated Trustee Tom Betsinger on his new role as the Oswegoland Park District Executive Director. He announced it would be his last meeting as an elected official of the Village of Montgomery. President Brolley is now seeking a resident of the Montgomery community to serve the remainder of Trustee Betsinger’s term, which runs to April 2025.

Interested Village of Montgomery residents are encouraged to apply for consideration by the Village President. The application process is an online form submission and applicable supporting documents (resume, recommendation letter, etc.); qualified candidates will meet and interview with President Brolley. When a position is left vacant in the middle of a term, the Village President must nominate a community member to fill the position for consideration and vote of the entire Board.

The application process will be on a rolling basis and will close once the position has been filled and approved by the Village Board. Tentatively, the Village Board plans to install its newest member on Monday, January 22, 2024. Interested applicants should gather supporting documentation and fill out the online form on the Village’s website, montgomeryil.org.

Please direct questions regarding the application process to vomadmin@montgomeryil.org or call 331-212-9003.
