Montgomery, IL –In conjunction with the local fire departments that service Montgomery residents, the Village of Montgomery Police Department will visit seven locations throughout the community on Tuesday, August 6, between 6 and 8P. Residents are welcome to join the officers to view police cars and fire trucks, participate in activities, and more! New this year the Montgomery Police Department will offer a chance for visitors to register their children to win a free unlimited carnival ride wristband good for use during Montgomery Fest on Saturday or Sunday from 12-4P. Residents must visit one of the National Night Out locations during the designated times to enter to win.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes collaborative efforts of police, fire personnel, and residents to create neighborhood camaraderie and promote safety. The event is an excellent opportunity to unite police and residents positively under favorable circumstances. The Montgomery Police Department encourages the community to visit the stop most local to their neighborhood for activities and giveaways. The 2024 National Night Out planned visits, and schedule is:
