[ARCHIVED] Montgomery Halloween Display Contest Runs Through October 19 – Registration is Now Open

House Decorated with Halloween Decorations

The Montgomery Beautification Committee will host its annual Halloween Display Contest to recognize homes and businesses for outstanding Halloween decorations. "It is one of our favorite contests to judge, as the residents raise the bar every year," says Ben Brzoska, Village Trustee and chair of the Beautification Committee.

Residents can nominate their property or someone else's by submitting the property address online at montgomeryil.org. Online nominations are now open through October 19, 2025. Committee members will visit the nominated addresses on the night of October 22 to judge and award the nominees' displays. Residents are encouraged to ensure their lights are on by 5P that evening. The committee kindly requests that winners leave their award signs posted until after Halloween, October 31.

Addresses of the homes awarded are available online after judging is complete for those in the community who wish to drive around and see the community's creativity. Brzoska adds, "From the large skeletons to the tasteful fall florals and pumpkins, it aids the community spirit, and we love recognizing residents who do their part in making Montgomery a great and fun place to live."

The Village of Montgomery Beautification Committee will accept nominations through Sunday, October 19. Nominate a property via the Village website at montgomeryil.org or by emailing rmason@montgomeryil.org.
