Settler’s Cottage, Montgomery’s historical museum, will reopen for the summer season on Sunday, May 18th. From 12:30pm to 2:30 visitors are invited to learn more about Montgomery’s rich history in this restored 1840s home, located in front of the Village Hall at 200 N. River Street. Exhibits include the Civil War (did you know we had a Civil War camp in Montgomery?), early businesses, a military Wall of Honor, Montgomery Methodist Church, and many others. The museum is free and is handicapped accessible.
From May to October Settler’s Cottage museum will be open on the first Saturday of each month and on the third Sunday of each month, from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
