At 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12th, Larry Bergnach will present a free program called “The Golden Age of TV” at the Montgomery Village Hall, 200 N. River Street.
Bergnach is a popular speaker and the program will be an interactive, variety show highlighting early television shows. It will include the jokes, routines and stories of Charlie Chaplin, Milton Berle, Jack Benny, Groucho Marx, Jackie Gleason, Sid Caesar, Martin and Lewis, Danny Thomas, Phyllis Diller, Steve Allen, Joan Rivers, Johnny Carson and more.
For 15 years, Bergnach served as an instructor for Dale Carnegie, teaching seminars on corporate team building and stress management. Bergnach has been on television as a humorist and a guest several times on WGN Radio with Rick Kogan of the Chicago Tribune.
The event is free and open to the general public.
The monthly Senior Lunch and activity for 55+ will begin at 11:00 a.m. after the entertainment. There is a $4 cost for the lunch and pre-registration by July 5th is required.
