[ARCHIVED] Montgomery to Survey Boulder Hill Watermain Replacement Locations

Beginning the week of May 14th, 2012 and continuing over the next several months staff from the Village’s engineering consultant, Engineering Enterprises, Inc., will perform field surveys of the proposed Boulder Hill Water Main replacement locations. The locations include cul-de-sacs throughout the subdivision that have dead-end or undersized water mains, as well as sections of streets where residents have experienced poor water quality. The data obtained from the field surveys will allow the Village Engineer to develop detailed plans and cost estimates for consideration by the Montgomery Village Board. If the Board approves the work, construction could begin as early as the summer of 2013.
To improve the accuracy of the data, surveyors may be accessing private property along and adjacent to the public right of way for the purpose of obtaining ground elevations, locations of structures and trees, and other location and elevation data that is critical to the development of accurate plans. This work will require staff to only obtain elevation and location data and will not include excavations (other than to locate lot corners), removal of fences, trees, or structures, or any other permanent alteration of the property. The Village of Montgomery asks your cooperation while our surveyors access your property to obtain the necessary survey data.
Staff from Engineering Enterprises, Inc. will be dressed in shirts with the Engineering Enterprises (EEI) logo. They can also be identified by the company’s silver pick-up trucks with the EEI name on the door. EEI staff will request permission from residents before going on private property. EEI staff will never ask to go inside your house, garage, sheds, or other buildings. Should someone represent that they are working for EEI or the Village and ask to gain access to your home, etc., do not allow them access and contact the Montgomery Police Department at 630-897-8707 for assistance. You can verify employee’s names by contacting Engineering Enterprises, Inc. at 630-466-6700.
