Montgomery Welcomes New Police Officer and Two Community Service Officers to the Police Department

Pradel and Rodriguez - new CSOs

Montgomery, Illinois - The Montgomery Police Department is pleased to announce the addition of a new police officer and two community service officers to its team. These additions will contribute to the department's ongoing commitment to maintaining public safety and enhancing community engagement.

Officer Mario Magana, a recent graduate of the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy, has joined the ranks of the Montgomery Police Department. Officer Magana has undergone rigorous 16-week training to ensure the necessary skills and expertise to effectively serve and protect the community. In addition, he has begun field training in the Village before assuming solo patrol. Officer Magana grew up in Aurora and attended Aurora Central Catholic High School. In addition, he spent two years at Waubonsee Community College playing baseball and obtaining his associate's degree. Magana states, "Growing up in the area, my interest in policing comes from a motivation to keep our community safe."

In addition to the new police officer, the Montgomery Police Department proudly introduces two Community Service Officers: Colin Pradel and Isaiah Rodriguez. The two men will serve as CSOs playing a vital role in building bridges between the police department and the community. They will focus on developing relationships with community members, organizing outreach programs, and addressing non-emergency concerns. Additionally, these officers will work closely with residents, local organizations, and schools to promote community safety and trust.
