1. I was in an accident, how do I get a copy of my report?

Traffic crash reports can be purchased from the Montgomery Police Department for a $5 fee by calling our Records Dept. at (630) 897-8707 ext. 9060 or 9061. They can also be purchased online, for $5 plus a convenience fee, by visiting docview.

2. How do I pay a ticket?

Local ordinance tickets can be paid at the Montgomery Police Department 24-hours a day. Methods of payment include cash, check or money orders. Cash payments must be for the exact amount and checks are to be written to the Village of Montgomery. Payments can also be mailed using the envelope enclosed on the citation.

4. How do I contact animal control?

The Village of Montgomery is located in both Kane and Kendall counties and has a working partnership with the animal control offices in each. Please understand that calls for barking dogs, dogs at large, dog bites, or other animal investigations that occur within the Village of Montgomery jurisdiction should be reported to the Montgomery Police Department by contacting (630) 553-0554. Neither Kane nor Kendall County Animal Control investigate loose dogs or pick them animals from residences within the Village of Montgomery limits.

5. How do I request a copy of a police report?

6. Sometimes I see something that I would consider "suspicious," but I don't want to bother the Police Department. . .What should I do?

There are Officers patrolling the streets of Montgomery every minute of every day. We appreciate your eyes and ears in assisting us to make your neighborhood safer. Please remember, you are not bothering us. If you have an emergency, please call 911 immediately. Otherwise, please call (630) 553-0554 to be connected to KenCom, our dispatch center. If you are unsure if you have an emergency, please call 911. We would rather you be safer than sorry.

7. When should I call 9-1-1?

For any emergency, request a police officer, firefighter or paramedic to be dispatched to a location. If the call is merely to ask for information, or to talk with a certain police officer or fire officer, it is better to use that department’s administrative phone number.
