Refuse and Recycling
Yes. As of August 1, 2024, stickers are required for landscape bags, containers, and brush bundles. Stickers are required for yard waste and organics disposal only. LRS garbage and recycling containers do not need stickers. Garbage and recycling programs remain unchanged.
- One sticker will be required for each: 30-gallon landscape waste bag (50lb limit), 35-gallon customer-owned container (50lb limit), and 4ft x 4ft tied bundle of brush or branches.
- Stickers do not expire until the end of the current contract term, July 31, 2031, so stickers purchased in year one are good for seven years.

Residents utilizing LRS (the Village refuse hauler), may put out unlimited garbage and recycling each week. From April through November, residents may utilizing yard waste stickers to dispose of yard waste and organics. There is no limit to how many bags (with stickers) can be collected each week. In addition, LRS offers a variety of options for weekly pick up of one bulk item or white item. Plus quarterly, they offer opportunities for residents to sign up for a special Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) or Electronic Waste (e-waste) collection curbside.

Yes. The Village refuse hauler (LRS Recycling) allows for one Bulk item and one White Good per week at no additional charge.
