  6. If the property is in a trust or corporation, list the name of the trust or corporation exactly as it appears on the County Tax Bill.

  11. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

    - Failure to provide complete and accurate information may result in rejection of your application or a delay in receiving your payment.

    - All completed applications must be submitted on or before December 31, 2021. Late applications may not be accepted.

    - If you do not have access to a computer or are having difficulty filling out this form, please email Oscar Vega, Finance Assistant for the Village of Montgomery, at ovega@montgomeryil.org or by phone at 331-212-9034.

    - Assistance is available in-person at Village Hall. Residents are welcome to bring a copy of their tax bill to Village Hall during the hours of 8:30A-4:00P Monday through Friday (excludes holidays), and a member of the staff can assist you with filling out the application in person.

    - The Village of Montgomery does not encourage paper copies or mailing forms to Village Hall as the Village is not responsible for applications lost in the mail.

    - Rebate checks will be mailed on or before April 30, 2022, or seen as a credit on the Village water bills sent on or around April 1, 2022.

    - All outstanding debt must be up to date for the year 2021 no later than January 14, 2022, to receive the 2020 Property Tax Rebate, including obligations related to rental property, if applicable.

    - If you sold your parcel within the 2020 calendar year, you do not qualify for the rebate. However, sellers of property should agree with buyers of the same property regarding the disposition of any refund the buyers may receive for taxes paid by the seller. In addition, to qualify, the applicant must have held legal or equitable title to the property continuously between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020.

    - Rebates will not be issued for vacant lots or if the property does not pay taxes to the Village of Montgomery (i.e., Boulder Hill residents).

    - Debt to the Village of Montgomery and the applicable county (Kane or Kendall) must be paid in advance of the application and remain up-to-date. These include taxes, water utility bills, tickets, fines, violations, or outstanding Special Assessment Taxes (Lakewood Creek only).
