Join the Historic Preservation Commission for a free walking tour of historic downtown Montgomery. No registration is required; meet your guide at the Settler's Cottage in front of Village Hall at 10A. View historic photos, tour the Settler's Cottage Museum, and enjoy a walking tour to learn more about your community's history. The tour is expected to last about one hour.
A free walking tour of historic downtown Montgomery will be offered at 10A on Saturday, June 7th. Members of the Historic Preservation Commission will provide historical photos and information about Gray’s Mill, the pop factory, Lyon Metal, Michaels Grocery Store, the Montgomery Methodist Church, the South Shore Inn, and other historic buildings located on the block bounded by River, Mill, Main and Webster Streets. Meet at the Village Hall, 200 N. River Street, to begin the tour, which will last about one hour. The Settler’s Cottage Museum will be open from 10A until noon.
