It is a voluntary, hands-on, assistant program which is intended to help police reunite at-risk residents with their families and provide necessary medical assistance.

There is no charge for this program. It is open to Montgomery residents as well as those that regularly visit Montgomery due to employment, education, daycare, etc. The information provided remains valid for a period of one year. Additional Information
The M-POWER Program Safety Registration Program allows parents, adult children of senior parents, or seniors of sound mind to voluntarily register with the Montgomery Police Department. This confidential record helps first responders quickly access vital information in the event that a registered individual becomes lost, disoriented, or missing, especially if there is an increased risk due to:

  • Cognitive impairments (e.g., dementia, autism)
  • Physical disabilities
  • Mental health conditions
  • Age-related vulnerabilities

By creating a profile, families and caregivers can ensure that police officers and first responders have the tools they need to respond swiftly and compassionately, helping reunite loved ones with their families and reducing the risk of harm or exploitation. It's a proactive step toward peace of mind and community care.
