Secure Document Destruction

The Village partners with local organizations to provide opportunities for secure document destruction (paper shredding) throughout the year. Twice annually, the Village partners with Earthmover Credit Union to provide a drive-thru shredding event in which residents can safely dispose of secure documents.

This is event is run by volunteers from the Village of Montgomery and Earthmover Credit Union. Participation is first come first serve and is complementary (four box maximum per vehicle), but donations are accepted on the day of the event and proceeds go directly to benefit a local charity in need. Each season, the charitable organization changes. In the past this event has raised thousands of dollars for organizations such as Kendall County Animal Shelter, Special Olympics of Illinois, Let It Be Us, Earthgivers, and other fantastic organizations supporting our local community.
