Special Enforcement Team
The Montgomery Police Department also has a Special Enforcement Team. The mission of the Montgomery Police Department Special Enforcement Team (SET) is to enhance the quality of life for the residents of the Village of Montgomery through proactive and community-based law enforcement efforts. Working under the direction of Chief of Police Phil Smith, the SET team will comprise a squad of dedicated and highly motivated officers whose primary responsibility is the suppression of criminal offenses and violations that reduce the "quality of life" for our neighborhoods. To help achieve these objectives, the SET team will use a coordinated and tactical approach to focus on criminal activities that directly and indirectly impact the Village of Montgomery and its residents.

Traffic Enforcement
The Montgomery Police Department is dedicated to reducing the number of traffic fatalities and injuries through traffic enforcement and education efforts with motorists in our community. These efforts focus on the major contributors of accidents, which include the following: seat belt usage, speeding, impaired motorists (DUI), and distracted driving. We enhance traffic safety through research, outreach, education and training for motorists.

If there are any specific traffic concerns, which need to be addressed, please fill out the Citizen Traffic Complaint Form.
