ELIGIBILITY
The Montgomery Fest Committee reserves the right to accept applications based on multiple criteria to help ensure maximum variety for patrons and maximum sales for vendors.
The Montgomery Fest Committee reserves the right to approve applications, view each booth after set-up, and request the removal of any items deemed inappropriate for sale at Montgomery Fest. Any violation of these rules could result in immediate removal from Montgomery Fest and disqualification from any future fests the Village of Montgomery may sponsor. Fees will not be refunded in such instances.
ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES
Onsite refrigeration, grease removal, or ice will not be provided.
Each 10'x10' food booth space can sell up to six (6) items. Vendors purchasing multiple booth spaces may sell additional items and serve out of one point-of-sale area OR sell at two separate points. The committee will do its best to provide some exclusivity of menu items to provide fest attendees with various food options.
Vendors are responsible for obtaining a Kane County Health Department permit for the event. The Kane County Health Department and the Montgomery-Countryside Fire Department will be onsite and subject to inspection. 2025 Temporary Food Service Application/Permit can be found online at https://kanehealth.com/Pages/Fees.aspx under “Temporary Food Service” or for food trucks under “Mobile Vending.”
Vendors are also responsible for obtaining a Montgomery-Countryside Fire Protection District permit. Please use this form if you intend to vend from a food truck or this form if you plan to vend from a tent. For questions about the Montgomery-Countryside Fire Protection District permits please contact dtoutant@montgomeryfire.org.
SECURITY
Vendors are fully responsible for the care, safety, and security of all property onsite at the Fest. Although the Montgomery Fest grounds will be patrolled at night, neither the Village of Montgomery nor its designees are responsible or liable for any damage, theft, or loss of works or property that occurs. Food vending stations and areas must be fully staffed and supervised during all Fest service hours.
Q: What is the layout of the fest?
A: Most activities at Montgomery Fest are located within Montgomery Park, such as the carnival, main stage, sponsor booths and food and beer vendors. Food vendors are located, on the pavement, along River St. within Montgomery Park.
Q: How many people does Montgomery Fest attract?
A: Montgomery Fest is a family-friendly, three-day festival that sees upwards of 16,000 people over the course of the weekend.
Q: What other items should I consider bringing with me?
A: We encourage you to be overprepared. It is suggested that you bring extra extension cords, sunscreen or sunglasses, extra gloves and any other items that will make it easier to serve outside all weekend.
Q: Can I get ice onsite?
A: Food vendors are responsible for providing their own ice. We understand this may be an inconvenience, as such, La Chiquita Food Market (located due East of the fest near the corner of Montgomery Rd. and Douglas Rd) is willing to pre-order ice for vendors to ensure supply for the Fest weekend. They are happy to preorder if you call in advance.

A: The Health Inspector will be around before the festival opens to ensure everything is up to code.
Q: Do I need to display my permits in the booth?
A: Please make sure you have a copy of your permits, licenses and other pertinent documentation with you at the booth at all times.
Q: How do I manage garbage?
A: Place garbage directly behind your booth and staff will dispose of it periodically.
Q: Are there any types of tickets or vouchers I need to be aware of?
A: Please accept food vouchers all weekend long but please make sure you pay attention to expiration dates. Do not accept any vouchers that expired earlier in the weekend or have 2024 printed on them.
Please tell all staff working the booth about food vouchers so the whole team can be aware the policies that surround vouchers.
Details about voucher redemption will be sent directly to vendors with load-in instructions.
Q: Who should I look for if I have questions onsite?
A: For questions onsite, please look for Village staff – Mark Wolf, Shawn Murphy or Rosie Boeing.
