Friends of the Mill Street Bridge Sign Program

2025 applications are now open through May 1.

Each summer, the Mill Street Bridge is lined with beautiful flower boxes. The Montgomery Beautification Committee offers residents and friends of the Village an opportunity to donate to this program and honor a loved one, family, or organization by purchasing a commemorative sign. 

Proudly display your name or organization in support of Montgomery's Beautification Committee. Money raised through the signs purchased help cover the Beautification Committee's cost of the flowers, maintaining the planter boxes, and signs. 

Mail this form with payment or deliver it to Montgomery Village Hall at 200 N. River St., Montgomery, IL 60538. Please clearly indicate the Friends of Mill Street Bridge Program on the check and envelope. Make checks payable to the Village of Montgomery.  

Program Guidelines & Restrictions

  • All signs are displayed along the Mill Street Bridge in the spring and taken down in the late summer, early fall.

  • All signs remain the property of the Village and are stored for future use.

  • Space is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. 

  • Placing personal items on the bridge or bridge signs is strictly prohibited. This includes balloons, additional flowers, banners, memorabilia, etc. Any items found along the bridge will be removed and discarded without notice.

  • The application deadline is May 1 or until all spots are filled, whichever occurs first. 

  • Applications received after May 1 will not be processed.

  • Emailed or phone applications are not accepted.

For your donation, you may have your family name, business, or personal message printed on a 4" x 22" sign and displayed along the Mill Street Bridge for the summer. Signs may contain names or short messages only. Addresses, phone numbers, and political ads are strictly prohibited.

Sign Imprints | A maximum of 20 characters, including spaces and two lines, are allowed. Text will be centered on the sign.

*This fee is for past participants whose sign is still in good condition to be hung again on the bridge this season. Any changes or edits to signs require the new sign pricing.
