Garbage & Recycling

LRS/DC Recycling Systems Collection Services

DC Recycling Systems began service to the Village for all residential properties on August 1, 2017.  Complete details of the service are found in the Guide to Montgomery Residential Garbage and Recycling Program.

Under this contract, DC Recycling Systems will pick up unlimited garbage and recycling each week. You must use your supplied trash or recycle cart first and then place additional garbage out along side your supplied cart in the appropriate bags or clearly marked containers.  Loose piles of garbage will not be collected. Unlimited tied bundles of brush and bags of yard waste can be disposed of each week from April 1st through the end of November. There is no need for stickers ever! Weekly pickup also includes one bulk item (furniture such as sofa, mattress, etc. or up to 8 rolls of carpeting or padding that has been cut into rolls no larger than 4 feet long and each bundle is not to exceed 50 lbs. in weight). One White Good may be disposed of each week also; these are items such as fridges, dehumidifiers or AC units. Due to this expanded weekly service, there will be no need for a spring or fall cleanup week. Please refer to the recycling page for info on what is recyclable and what is not.

The monthly rate for August 1, 2019 through July 31, 2020 is $17.47 per household.

This applies to all residential addresses in the Village of Montgomery, but not Boulder Hill or other unincorporated areas. To view the map showing your area’s pick-up day, click on this map link.
